Consultant Critical Care and Anaesthesia, University Hospital Birmingham
Tony started his consultant career at UHB in 2004 having trained in London. During his training, he completed a period in research, where he developed an interest in ICU infection and sepsis. He was conferred his MD in 2004.
UHB currently has the largest single ICU in the UK and is treats critically ill patients from every adult speciality. Since starting his consultant post in 2004, Tony has continued his research interests; he has set up clinical research at UHB and collaborates widely with groups from around the world and from the Royal College of Defence Medicine (based in Birmingham).
