I ICNARC: Intensive Care National Audit & Research Centre ICNARC's aim is to foster improvements in the organisation and practice of critical care (intensive and high dependency care) in the UK. ICNARC works towards this aim by: · promoting local audit of critical care through the provision of comparative data · developing a broad programme of research of relevance to those commissioning, managing, practising and receiving critical care · improving the quality of audit and research in critical care · promoting the use of evidence in critical care practice and policy building research capacity in critical care ICS: Intensive Care Society The Intensive Care Society is the representative body in the UK for intensive care professionals and patients. The Society is dedicated to the delivery of the highest quality of critical care to patients in the UK. We perform many functions for the intensive care community in the UK such as the production of guidelines and standards, stage national meetings, training courses and focus groups. We represent Intensive Care in wide ranging organisations from the Royal Colleges to the Department of Health and other organisations and societies with a stake or interest in intensive care. We are also represented on the Intercollegiate Board for Training in Intensive Care. The society is based at Churchill House in London, also home to the Royal College of Anaesthetists, The College of Emergency Medicine & the British Association for Emergency Medicine and the British Pain Society |
